Best funeral ever – Improv Everywhere

I’ve long been a fan of flash mobbing and I was introduced to the scene by Improv Everywhere, who not only have a brilliant name, but their work is astounding. It is joyful, happy and will affect the lives of everyone who come in contact with them. I have been showing their work for years now at home, at work and where ever there has been a need to demonstrate the power of crowd-sourcing and/or spontaneous exhibitions of fun things. Always works.

To me, two of their grandest mobs have been done in the spring of 2007:

Food court musical in March 2007

and the most ingenious Frozen Grand Central in February 2007

This April fools, they made a mock Flash mob, pretending to mob a funeral to make it the “best ever”. Although it was just a joke, I kinda liked the idea. Check it out in the video below.

Improv Everywhere is a collection of people that arrange even larger collections of people to do cool and crazy, spontaneous things in cities and they describe themselves as:

Improv Everywhere causes scenes of chaos and joy in public places. Created in August of 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has executed over 80 missions involving thousands of undercover agents. The group is based in New York City.

You can flash mob me anytime you want.
